Manuel ZÚÑIGA ACEDO

Manuel spent his childhood in fabrication and restoration of religious images in the Zuniga Jimenez family workshop, following the artistic path of his uncle, a world renowned sculptor Edgar Zuniga, Manuel graduated from University of Costa Rica majoring in Fine Arts. Along the years, Manuel has achieved recognition through various experiences and exhibitions, to name a few:
2001 Realization of National Award Güicho Ecológico 2001;
2004 Participation in the International Festival of the Arts, Public Sculpture FIA 2004,
Railroad Station to the Pacific, San José 2005
Head of the Artistic Section of the Chariot of the Bank of Costa Rica, for the Festival de la Luz. Design by Eduardo Torijano; 2006
Elaboration of Mural - Relief of 9.45 meters high, for the building of the Faculty of Law of the Universidad de Costa Rica; 2006
Artistic design and elaboration of a Risen Christ of 3.90 meters high for the church of La Fortuna de San Carlos.
