7 artists from Italy, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Oman, Kuwait and Bahrain participated in the stone carving program. 5 female artists from Egypt, Tunisia and Saudi Arabia demonstrated clay creations. Nabeel Hashem Najdi, a national artist of Saudi Arabia, brought a live show of iron art. Artists from Morocco and Congo also performed iron art creations. Moroccan famous artist Mohamed Bouzouba created a beautiful Impressionist oil painting, and local artist Mohamed Tarhouchi demonstrated mosaic collage art.
World Wood Day is a cultural event celebrated annually during the week of March 21st to highlight wood as an eco-friendly and renewable biomaterial and to raise awareness on the key role wood plays in a sustainable world. Starting from 2013, WWD celebrations were held in Tanzania and China respectively, involving participants from over 100 countries and regions.
