The 2024 WWD Regional Event took place at Taq-e Bostan in Kermanshah Province, Iran, from June 08th to 13th. Dr. Alireza Bavandpour and AmirHosein Bavandpour directed and organized this event, aiming to foster artist participation from across Iran under the theme 'The Diversity of Wood in Culture.'
The regional event of World Wood Day can be the origin of cultural exchange, and it's one of the important events that is usually held in Kermanshah. There is a unique welcome to this event every year.
It's the fifth year that World Wood Day regional event is being held in Iran by the theme "The Diversity of Wood in Culture."
One of the goals of this event is to provide a happy atmosphere for the participants to enjoy working together in a specialized event to fine artists in different field from all over of the country, to work with wood and knowing its sustainability, also are reviving this wood to life.
And at this time, we also used this capacity to introduce the variety and healthiness of Kermanshahi food to the artists, who come from different cities of Iran. Kermanshahi food is very nutritious and has a very strong ancient history. It's a different than past years, we chose a group of 6 judges to judge without anyone knowing them and the judges visited the works regularly for 7 days. There is one of these judges was 6-7 year old children who voted for each of the works. One point was recorded for its artist.
