Event Introduction：

From April 16th to 20th, 2025, the 10th National College Youth Woodworking Skills Competition and the 2026 World Wood Day International Youth Furniture Making Invitation Competition (China) Selection Competition were successfully held at Jiangsu Yangzhou Technician College. On the morning of the 17th, the opening ceremony of the competition was held grandly in the Hundred Talents Lecture Hall of the college.

The theme of the competition is "Wooden Horse · Time Rocking Chair", requiring participants to design drawings in advance according to the requirements and handmade the chair within 20 hours. The main material used is beech wood. 18 contestants from 13 provinces and cities in China participated in the competition. In the three days, the participants created works that combine functionality and artistry, showcasing the infinite possibilities of woodworking.

On the afternoon of April 17th, Ms. Su Jinling, Secretary General of IWCS, held an exchange and discussion meeting. Guidance teachers, team leaders from various schools and representatives of supporter attended the conference. The attendees shared their respective works and hoped to further cooperation in talent cultivation in the future.

On the afternoon of April 19th, the closing ceremony and award ceremony of the competition were held. Qiu Tianyu, student from Jiangsu Yangzhou Technician College, won the first prize. He will also be invited to represent China in the 2026 World Wood Day International Young Adult Furniture Making Invitational.
