Wood Design

Theme: "Soul of Tree" (木魂)
Date: July 22 - July 30
Venue: Mt. Fuji Wood Culture Society "Manabi no Mori" Woodworking Studio (Kawaguchiko, Yamanashi, Japan)

Event Overview

The Wood Design event brings together woodworkers from around the world to create works based on this year's theme, "Soul of Tree" (木魂). Each participant will spend a week crafting their pieces at the venue.

The event will be held at Mt. Fuji Wood Culture Society "Manabi no Mori", located in Ōishi, Fujikawaguchiko, Yamanashi Prefecture.

During the production period from July 22 to 29, the workspace will be closed to the public to allow the artists to focus on their work. However, on Saturday, July 26, a public viewing day will be held. Visitors will have the opportunity to observe the artists at work and, in the afternoon, attend a slideshow and brief presentations by all participating artists.

This is a rare opportunity to witness the craftsmanship of some of the world's leading woodworkers and hear their insights. We encourage you to take part in this special event. Further details on the schedule will be announced soon.
