Wood, an eco-friendly and sustainable biomaterial, has played an important role in human life. It is important for everyone, especially children and young teenagers, to understand the beneficent nature of wood. 2013 World Wood Day contains a Children's Drawing Competition to provide a special opportunity for local kids to learn to embrace and appreciate the natural beauty and the merits in wood.
We invite local children from Ilala District, Temeke District and Kinondoni District in Dar es Salaam to participate in the drawing contest this year.
Time: 21st March, 2013
Venue: Karimjee Hall, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
All children are more than welcome to join other events, Tree Planting and International Woodcraft Show, on March 21st.
