Welcome to 2013 World Wood Day

World Wood Day is celebrated on the same day as the International Day of Forests to raise the awareness on how wood plays a key role for a sustainable future. The idea behind World Wood Day is a cultural approach to realize the concept wood is good.

To celebrate the first year World Wood Day and International Day of Forest as well, 2013 World Wood Day with the theme "A Cultural Approach to Achieve Wood is Good," commence its inaugural celebration on March 21st, in Tanzania with a series of specially designed events after years of preparation.
