Woodcarving Art Exhibition

Wood carvings works created by the Seri were exhibited at this exhibition.  The Seri are the native Indians of Mexico.  They use hard desert ironwood with unique texture and color to create wood carvings.  Their works only show the creatures that they have seen in their lives, such as turtles, sharks, conch, etc.,  These works express the relationship between the ocean and the desert with their lives in a simple way.
