Welcome to 2014 World Wood Day

World Wood Day on March 21st is an annual cultural event to raise the awareness on how wood plays a key role for a sustainable future, and has launched its inaugural celebration since 2013. WWD is concurrently observed on the same day as the International Day of Forests, which was officially recognized by the United Nations General Assembly in 2013. This event explores the significance of wood and the vital role it plays in our lives and culture, and in 2014, the challenges posed through the changes that mark the development of human civilization will be examined.
