Despite the difficulty of the current worldwide pandemic, the first annual Iran World Wood Day regional event was held in Kermanshah, Iran and it was a grand success. A group of 13 woodcarvers worked 4 days and 4 nights at the base of Taq-e Bostan, an UNESCO World Heritage Site. They collaborated to complete a Wood slab relief carving of the Behistun Inscription. Special tools were made to execute the cuneiform writing to match the original stone carving.
