Undoubtedly tree is an important asset to human and nature that we have the responsibility to pass it on to our future generation. To convey the message of sustainable development, a Tree Planting activity is held every year. This meaningful activity also reminds us our roles and duties toward nature and sows the seeds of a greener future.
What's more, lacrosse game, a popular sport traditionally played with curved wooden sticks among Haudenosaunee (Native American community), was introduced to all WWD participants after the ceremony.

World Wood Day is a cultural event celebrated annually during the week of March 21st to highlight wood as an eco-friendly and renewable biomaterial and to raise awareness on the key role wood plays in a sustainable world. Starting from 2013, WWD celebrations were held in Tanzania, China, Turkey, Nepal, and United States respectively, involving participants from over 100 countries and regions.
