WWD 2019 Folk Art & Craftsmanship Workshop - Wooden Movable-type Printing

Mr. Jianning Zou and Gengshen Zou have demonstrated the essence of wooden movable-type printing of China to the visitors at 2019 World Wood Day in Austria. Their new designs for the event have shown what changes they have done to keep up with the world and preserve the tradition at the same time. Visitors were also enjoyed the hands-on activities and the beautiful prints.

About WWD

World Wood Day is a cultural event celebrated annually during the week of March 21st to highlight wood as an eco-friendly and renewable biomaterial and to raise awareness on the key role wood plays in a sustainable world. Starting from 2013, WWD celebrations were held in Tanzania, China, Turkey, Nepal, and United States respectively, involving participants from over 100 countries and regions.
