World Expo 2020 - Harmony with Nature: The Culture of Gabon

03 Jan, 2022

IWCS is in Dubai for the World Expo 2020 that will last for 6 months, from October 1st to March 31st, 2022.  For the first time in the World Expo history, it gathers organizations and 192 countries from around the world, each country with its own pavilion.  The World Expo 2020 is governed by three main themes which are SUSTAINABILITY, OPPORTUNITY and MOBILITY.  This huge event seeks to bring the world together for a cleaner, safer, and healthier future for all, so does IWCS.  To showcase the rich and diverse culture, tangible and intangible cultural heritage of each country represented in Dubai, we meet the directors or commissioner generals of each pavilion for a better understanding of the topics mentioned above.  In this video we are with Gina NZENGUE, the director of the Gabon pavilion.  She first introduced the artworks displayed in her pavilion, how they represent her country.  She also discussed with us about her understanding of SUSTAINABILITY, OPPORTUNITY and CHALLENGES.  Let’s discover together what Gabon has as contribution to reach our common goal.
