More about WWD Theater

Wendell Castle (1932 - 2018) was an internationally renowned artist from Rochester, New York, and is also known as the father of the art furniture movement.  The video brings us to his studio and not only provides a glimpse into his personal life after a hard-working day but also his opinion of his appreciation for wood and the ideology in art creation.

Wendell Castle has always had a unique style in his creations. During the Furniture Society 2016 Conference in Philadelphia, he elaborated on how the combination of art, creativity, and critical thinking could impact an artist's working style.  Wendell also shared anecdotes about his long artistic career and explained how digital technology has affected his work.
