IWCS is in Dubai for the World Expo 2020 that will last 6 months, from October 1st 2021 to March 31st 2022. For the first time in World Expo history, it gathers organizations and 192 countries from around the world, each country with its own pavilion. The Expo 2020 is governed by three main themes which are SUSTAINABILITY, OPPORTUNITY and MOBILITY. This huge event seeks to bring the world together for cleaner, safer and healthier future for all, so does IWCS. To showcase the rich and diverse culture, tangible and intangible cultural heritage of each country represented in Dubai world Expo 2020, we meet directors or commissioner generals of each pavilion for better understanding of the topics mentioned above.

World Wood Day is a cultural event celebrated annually during the week of March 21st to highlight wood as an eco-friendly and renewable biomaterial and to raise awareness on the key role wood plays in a sustainable world. Starting from 2013, WWD celebrations were held in Tanzania and China respectively, involving participants from over 100 countries and regions.
