Tree Planting

In response to the theme of 2013 World Wood Day, A Cultural Approach to Achieve Wood is Good”, we initiate the Tree Planting Project in Tanzania aiming to raise the world’s awareness of the importance of conservation and sustainable development of forest resources.

Trees have played a significant role in ecology, from carbon sequestration, soil fertility, to erosion control. Moreover, the relationship among trees and cultural, spiritual and recreational aspects in many societies are interwoven and are integral to the very survival of indigenous and traditional cultures around the world. To plant trees in Tanzania does not only help environmental protection, but also assists cultural sustainability for local people.

We honorably invite you to join our tree planting event and celebrate 2013 World Wood Day on March 21st in Tanzania!
