Jiangxi Ganzhou: Woodcarving Fun for Parents and Kids
On March 22, a unique parent-child woodcarving experience event was warmly held at the creation base of master woodcarver Wang Guohua in Ganzhou. Starting with wood culture popularization, children learned about wood textures and the connection between trees and wood art through the master’ s explanation, feeling the marks of nature and civilization in wood by touching and observing.
During the hands-on woodworking session, parents and children worked together to learn sawing, sanding and creating under the master’s guidance, enjoying the fun of traditional craftsmanship firsthand. Taking wood as a bond, this activity integrated nature education, handicraft experience and parent-child interaction. It helped children understand the value of wood in practice, vividly interpreted the idea of World Wood Day with a warm and interesting wood art journey, and enabled wood culture to pass on from generation to generation through company and creation.
