IWCS lauds the spirit of Nepal culture and wood singularity through the fusion of mother nature and modern nutrition. Wood design is the matrix where artists can embody their passion and fantasy in wood through imaginations. This year, in its first appearance in WWD celebration, the Wood Design program invites 12 contemporary artists to collaborate on several installations. The collective is called "The Elephant in the Room". Headed by Wendy Maruyama, artists are divided into groups and make use of found wood, wood discards and unusual fabrication techniques.
